Duved Framtid

Duved Framtid

Initiated in 2018 by Helen Olausson and Jan Åman, Duved Framtid reimagined the village of Duved in Jämtland as a model for sustainable societal development – built on collaboration, community, and self-sufficiency. From circular economic models and local food systems to sustainable housing and new democratic processes, the initiative positioned the village as an innovation hub, working with international profiles such as Japanese architect Shigeru Ban. In June 2022, Duved Framtid presented its work to the Council of Europe and the European Union, initiating discussions on long-term collaboration.
